Joe Alvarez

President and CEO

Joe graduated from George Mason University, where he captained the men’s soccer team through some of its most successful seasons and earned induction into the university’s Hall of Fame. Even before college, he built a foundation in the industry by working summers as an installer for AIS, gaining firsthand knowledge of the craft and the business.

When Joe acquired AIS in 2005, he led AIS’s skilled team beyond its roots in storage and furniture installations, expanding into demountable glass wall systems by 2010. This diversification allowed AIS to offer versatile solutions that enhance and complement its core services, making the company a trusted partner for clients, design firms, and contractors across the region.

As President and CEO, Joe continues to guide AIS with a focus on precision, quality, and relationships. He is a visible ambassador for the company, dedicating time to nurturing partnerships with clients, vendors, and industry leaders. His ability to build trust and forge meaningful connections has solidified AIS’s reputation as a go-to installation partner for complex, large-scale projects.
